How to mobilize local resources for sustainable development by offering sound foreign assistance in developing and transforming economies? Last year this general question for the DP seminar was addressed by four projects in the following way: How to design and deliver in a sustainable-way the second-hand medical equipment to health care facilities in rural areas of Mozambique and Peru (The prestigious Collins Award-wining project 2009!)? How to alleviate poverty and strengthen families by mobilizing unused resources in rural Uzbekistan? How to utilize the Fair Trade institution for sustaining artisan community in Peru? How to expand and sustain monitoring activities of foreign assistance by NGOs in South Africa?
These are the concrete examples of the international development focus of this seminar.
