Evans School students have four options for how they select a degree project topic and complete the degree project requirement:
- Propose a topic independent of an agency to work on in a seminar by signing up as you would with any other course.
- Propose a topic that you have developed with an agency to work on in a seminar by singing up as you would with any other course.
- Select a Public Service Clinic topic to work on with an agency by browsing available topics and applying for your top three choices. Once matched with a project you will sign up for a degree project seminar as you would any other course.
- In special circumstance you can work independently by contacting an faculty member and having them agree to advise you on the project. Once they have agreed to be your faculty sponser you should complete the Degree Project Proposal form and submit it to Student Services.
In the first two options, you are advised to work with your seminar instructor to develop specific responsibilities and deadlines before the seminar begins. For the Public Service Clinic option, there are a number of client-related responsibilities from proposal to presentation.
