Shalini Jain began the Evans School Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management program in Fall 2008. Her research interests include: emergence, evolution and efficacy of transnational private regulation institutions; multi-stakeholder global governance, and corporate social responsibility.

Prior to starting her doctoral studies at the Evans School, Sarin-Jain was Director of the Senior Corps RSVP program in Bloomington, Indiana; Senior Research Associate with CGR in Rochester, New York providing public sector consulting services in government management, human services analysis, social research, and economic analysis to non-profit organizations, city, county, and state governments of New York; and intern at the World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland.

Sarin-Jain holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from University of Washington and in Public Policy Analysis from University of Rochester, and a BA in World History from University of Delhi, India.
