Cascade Executive Programs
Cascade Executive Programs at the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Affairs is one of few providers of university-quality professional development training that addresses the specific challenges, opportunities, and constraints faced by public and nonprofit sector employees. Whether you’re a new or experienced manager, our courses and programs can help you gain new insights into solving complex managerial problems and gain a renewed sense of direction in leading the day-to-day operations of your organization.
Those who have taken our courses include:
- Managers and directors of government and nonprofit organizations
- Private-sector employees who work with government or nonprofit agencies
- Leaders with technical backgrounds who want to develop managerial skills
- Employees being trained to lead their work group and/or organization
All of our programs are developed by nationally recognized faculty members and instructors who are selected for their combination of teaching excellence and practical experience. Our programs include:
- Cascade Courses: intensive two-day, three-day, and five-day training courses for public and nonprofit managers with customized course options available for agencies and organizations
- Executive Management Program: a two-week, in-residence program for senior-level managers
- Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute: a six-day residential program for nonprofit executives offered in coordination with the Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits & Philanthropy
If you are a senior manager with 10 or more years of experience looking to further your education, the Evans School also offers an Executive Master of Public Education (MPA) program.
