Nancy Lee is the president of Social Marketing Services Inc., an adjunct professor at Seattle University’s College of Arts and Sciences Institute of Public Service, and the University of South Florida’s School of Public Health. She teaches courses through the Evans School Cascade Executive Programs on social marketing and marketing planning.

Prior to her current work with Social Marketing Services Inc., Lee held numerous corporate positions including vice president and director of marketing for Rainer Bank and director of marketing for Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle. She has consulted with more than 100 nonprofit organizations and participated in the development of more than 50 social marketing campaign strategies for public sector agencies. Client from the public sector include Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Environmental Protection Agency, Washington State Department of Health, Office of Crime Victims Advocacy, county health and transportation departments, Department of Ecology, King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, Washington Traffic Safety Commission, City of Seattle, Attorney General of Washington, and Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Lee has also served as guest lecturer at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, Oxford University, and for the Health Promotion Board in Singapore. Lee has conducted social marketing workshops for more than 1,000 public sector employees involved in developing public behavior change campaigns in the areas of health, safety, and the environment. She is a frequent keynote speaker on social marketing at conferences for Environmental Protection, Family Planning, Nutrition, Recycling, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Commute Trip Reduction, Household Hazardous Waste, Washington Food Service Association, and Tobacco Prevention and Control.

Lee is an active member of the American Marketing Association and has served for more than 15 years as its president of Washington state’s largest chapter.

Lee holds an Master of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Puget Sound and a BS in education from the University of Illinois.
