The Gates Foundation has approved a three-year expansion grant for Washington Kids Count to develop preschool through university (P-16) education data and analysis. Washington Kids Count is a project of the Human Services Policy Center that tracks, analyzes, and communicates information about the health and well-being of children and families in Washington. Social service and education agencies use Washington Kids Count research when they develop and evaluate programs for children and families. The project is led by Richard Brandon, director of the Human Services Policy Center.
