Leadership at the Crossroads Debut

Alumni Reconnect; Hear from Former Starbucks CEO

Nearly 100 Evans school alumni, students, and friends gathered on October 6 for the Puget Sound Alumni Reception, followed by a presentation by Orin Smith, who served chief policy and finance officer under two Washington State governors before leading the Starbucks Corporation as president and CEO.

This was the first event in the Evans School’s new Leadership at the Crossroads speaker series, which features internationally recognized, dynamic leaders whose work spans public, nonprofit, and private sectors.

Save the date for our upcoming Leadership at the Crossroads events:

  • Winter 2009: Bob Herbold, former Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft, on February 25, 2009
  • Spring 2009: Patrick Fitzgerald, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, followed by a panel discussion with guests. Date to be announced.
