Patrick J. Fitzgerald, a federal prosecutor for 20 years, began serving as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois on September 1, 2001.  Mr. Fitzgerald has played a personal role in many significant investigations involving terrorism financing, public corruption, corporate fraud, and violent crimes including narcotics and gang prosecutions.  His office recently brought now-pending fraud and bribery charges against former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and he served as special prosecutor in the trial and conviction of Vice President Cheney’s chief of staff I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby.

A follow-up panel discussion on “Corruption in Business and Government” will include:

  • Lynn Brewer, CEO and founder of the Integrity Institute
  • Bud Krogh, former Nixon White House Aide and author
  • Jeffrey Sullivan, United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington

Evans School Dean Sandra O. Archibald will moderate the panel.
