The Municipal League of King County announced that the Evans School has been named the 2009 recipient of the Warren G. Magnuson Memorial award. This is the first time the award, which honors significant contributions to the enhancement of local government, has been given to an organization.
Previous Magnuson award winners include Ralph Munro, Helen Sommers, Joel Pritchard, and Bob Santos.
