Evans School Wins Magnuson Award

The Municipal League of King County announced that the Evans School has been named the 2009 recipient of the Warren G. Magnuson Memorial award.  This is the first time the award, which honors significant contributions to the enhancement of local government, has been given to an organization.

Previous Magnuson award winners include Ralph Munro, Helen Sommers, Joel Pritchard, and Bob Santos.  Other 2009 Civic Award winners include Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, Sound Transit CEO Joni Earl, Cary Moon of the People's Waterfront Coalition, and more.  See the full list of 2009 Muncipal League Civic Award winners »

The award will be presented at a ceremony at Seattle Art Museum's downtown location on the evening of Wednesday, March 25.  Tickets for the event are available online »
