All-day workshop featuring local and national foundation leaders on understanding philanthropy in general and paradoxes in the field, including social justice philanthropy, issues of power between donors and grantees, etc.
Speakers include:
- Evans School Nancy Bell Evans Professor of Public Affairs Steven Rathgeb Smith, who will speak on "Understanding Philanthropy"
- Kalpana Krishnamurthy from the Western States Center
- Rusty Stahl from Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP)
- Nelli Eleanore Garton from the Silverman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy at Brandeis University
