Cory Sbarbaro is the founder and principal of Turnpoint Consulting. He teaches courses through Cascade Executive Programs and for the Evans School Nonprofit Certificate Program, and serves as senior analyst for the Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits & Philanthropy.
Cory is a contributing author of How to Form and Maintain a Nonprofit Corporation in the State of Washington (2008), and the author of Social Venture Partners' Replication (2002), a case study focused on nonprofit replication and the evolution of the Social Venture Partners international network.
In his work with Turningpoint Consultion, Sbarbaro aims to deepen the impact of progressive nonprofit organizations in the Pacific Northwest and guided a diverse range of organizations through complex and challenging organizational transitions. He also serves as a trainer for the United Way of King Count and the Nonprofit Center of South Puget Sound.
Sbarbaro is a member of Solutions for Good, a consortium of local consultants that provides a broad range of expertise to benefit the nonprofit and public sectors. He is also a member of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management's Board Governance Affinity Group, and in 2007 served as a Beta Tester for the Alliance's Ethical Standards in Nonprofit Capacity Building. He is also a board member of Solid Ground and graduate of Leadership Tomorrow.
Sbarbaro holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Affairs.
