Our Programs


Our degree and certificate programs at the Evans School are designed to meet the varying interests and goals of individuals at different stages in their careers.

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

  • 60-credit program that full-time students finish in two years
  • Degree project or Public Service Clinic project (required for most students)
  • Internship (required for most students)

Peace Corps Master’s International (PCMI MPA track)

  • 51-credit program that full-time students finish in three years
  • Two years of overseas Peace Corps service
  • Degree project

Executive Master of Public Administration (Executive MPA)

  • For students with significant work experience (10+ years)
  • 45-credit program that students usually finish in 15 months
  • 16-month work-compatible program

Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management (Ph.D. Program)

  • For students with a master's or bachelor's degree
  • 87+-credit program that full-time students can finish four years
  • Dissertation
  • Research apprenticeship

We also offer concurrent degrees with other graduate schools and colleges at the University of Washington, and non-degree and certificate programs.
